The location is marvelous and beautiful, close to the charming central square with restaurants. Varenna is preferred over the more popular town of Bellagio for those looking for a quieter stay. The breakfast options are very tasty, with 

Stunning location with a splendid view of the lake. Fabulous food in the gourmet restaurant in the vicinity. Very tasty and astonishing breakfast in the restaurant to start the day.

The service was very efficient. They gave us a well decorated room with a lake view. The location was the best possible, near a long hike up through cobblestone streets and the Salumeria/Market and restaurants, in a very nice area. 

The staff were excellent friendly, and the private parking was available. I had the a double room which was reasonably large and top-notch for bathrooms. The breakfast was awesome for what was

Recently got a renovated room with a cozy fireplace, spacious balcony with a view of the water, and effective air conditioning, which was a great addition.

Balcony with lake view, pool by lake, lido nearby, breakfast and dinner option available, gourmet restaurant with lake view.

Room had a GREAT view of Lake Como and nice balcony. Excellent english-speaking staff. Carpet a bit worn, Hotel Du Lac better value, excellent breakfast, HUGE room and nice sized bathroom. Great location. 

The hotel was WONDERFUL and clean with exceptionally pleasant and super-friendly staff at reception desk. Appreciated a very tasty and awesome breakfast with fantastic views. Cheap and large room especially on upper floors was enjoyable. The location was marvellous, 

The best place to stay in Varenna. Nuzzled in a beautiful building with a gourmet restaurant. Fantastic setting with a short walk to a plaza, centuries-old church, garden, restaurant, and bar.

We were blown away by the incredible views from our top floor room with a balcony. The room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. The hotel had excellent facilities, including a pool, and the included breakfast had a wide 

Great location in an absolutely charming town. The breakfast was perfect.

No international current support such as transformers or shaver plugs. Hair dryer was antique and ineffective. Bathroom was minuscule. Shower was 30 x 30. This hotel needs a freshening. Price too high for the condition of the rooms.
